One of Alan Davis' Spidey covers is prominently featured on the back cover of The Hero Initiative and Marvel Comics' upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man 100 Project.
(But Alan's name doesn't appear on the cover, nor is he mentioned in the press release. Maybe in a few years, when Alan's moved beyond his up 'n comer status, will his name warrant a mention.)

My 300th post! Woo-hoo!
ITEM!
The Wolverine Saga was a 4-issue, bookshelf format series from 1989 that chronicled the life and times of Logan. Specific storylines/issues featuring the X-Man were recounted in a storybook style, complete with prose, verbatim character quotes and panels from the comics themselves.
What's noteworthy is that The Wolverine Saga #4 has 8 of its 48 pages devoted to comics drawn by the team of Alan Davis and Paul Neary -
2 pages recount the events of Uncanny X-Men #213, with 7 panels reproduced from the issue, while 6 pages are devoted to Uncanny X-Men Annual #11, with 16 panels taken from that issue.
So the next time the kids insist on a bedtime story, just crack open The Wolverine Saga and let the uncanny tales of Logan lull them to sleep. (Not that the issues are boring, far from it...it's just that these tales will fire up the kids' imaginations, allowing them to continue the tales in slumberland where they can personify...ah, you know what I mean.)
