...and it looks as though he signed it "with apologies to Alan Davis?" (The question mark at the end is Ed's, not mine, and not needed for anyone familiar with the classic 'Fall of the Mutants' illo by Davis & Neary. Unless..Ed knew that Alan pencilled the original piece, but didn't know to whom he should be apologizing, since he might have used for reference the cover of the X-Men: Fall of the Mutants TPB which has a re-drawn/traced image of the original by some artist on call, and Ed didn't want to sign it "with apologies to some Marvel tracer." Unless...that symbol at the end isn't a question mark at all, but a sign of respect in the alien language of the Planet of the Deceased Hulks.)
