Handbook A-Z
I believe you're right, Rayeye, about the 'War' illo that's on the second page of the Deathbird profile being Alan's art, even though that illo is credited to Melvin Rubi. Perhaps the credits were simply mixed up - the inset illo on the first page being Rubi's art, and the 'War' illo being Davis'. And regarding the origin of the 'War' art, it might be from the X-Men storyline 'The Twelve.' (I don't have the issues handy.)
Speaking of that storyline, Amazon still lists X-Men Vs. Apocalypse Volume 1: The Twelve TPB ( http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Vs-Apocalyp ... 238&sr=8-2 ) with a March 21, 2007 release date, but it has yet to come out.
Amazon also has a listing for X-Men Vs. Apocalypse Volume 2: Ages of Apocalypse TPB ( http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Vs-Apocalyp ... 238&sr=8-2 ), which is set to include Alan Davis' work from Uncanny X-Men #378 and X-Men #98, but I'm guessing that the tentative release date of November 15, 2007 (2006 is the year mistakenly put down in the listing) will have to be pushed back, since Volume 1 hasn't even been solicited yet. (If Volume 1 was to be solicited in the September Previews, that would see release in November.)

The picture is indeed from the The Twelve arc. At another comic forum someone told me that the other pic (inset) was indeed drawn by Mel Rubi, so the credits were indeed mixed up.Ilke wrote:I believe you're right, Rayeye, about the 'War' illo that's on the second page of the Deathbird profile being Alan's art, even though that illo is credited to Melvin Rubi. All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z: Update #4 (out Oct. 24th) includes a 2-page profile of the ClanDestine, with the illustratons on both pages attributed to Alan Davis.
The illo on the first page of the profile is from the back cover of ClanDestine Versus the X-Men TPB (see http://www.alandavis-comicart.com/images/Clantpb.jpg ), while the small headshot illos on the second page are reprinted from Alan's run on The ClanDestine.
