Mark Farmer uses distilled water to dilute his Rotring ink.

Why distilled water?
And thanks for the inking tips.

I'll hazard a guess at this...Mark lives in England who's water supply is drawn from underground and can need filtering. Distilled water would have no impurites that might react or adversly effect the nibs and brushes he might be using.

Rotring ink can be quite 'gloopy' and runs a little thinner when watered down. Well I find the my nibs will last longer with watered down Rotring.
