Alan, what's the story behind the -very amusing- CSI drawing, recently added to your gallery?

Loved it!

You mention how "drawing for fun" can sometimes be a victim at the hands of Proffessional status. I hope these little insights are aspects your cultivating, when time allows. "Fun" I think is an essential element that many professionals (in any industry) appear to loose sight of.

Much respect,
Darren

I drew the CSI image for my brother-- based on an experience he had with one of those spring-loaded push chair/strollers.

I think it is understandable that professional considerations often destroy the enthusiasm that drives a fan to become a comic artist. Long hours, tight deadlines, low pay, political editors and disappointment with scripts, balloon placements, colouring, poor printing, can all take their toll. I think I have been very lucky to have avoided a lot of the nonsense and to be able to work on projects I choose.

All the best

Alan
