What do you do when you get stuck writing a character that you don't really understand or worse, a character that you don't like. You've done some pretty big cross-overs so I'm guessing you've encountered such a situation.

The short answer to not liking a character is to find something in the character you do like… or don’t use the character.
Not understanding a character is far more complicated but, hopefully, if you stay true to the established roots of a character you will learn to understand them. I have always believed that most of the ‘creative’ process is discovery not invention.
