1) What is your real name?
Jouko Ruokosenmäki (I dare you all to say that really quickly, three times in a row)

2) Where you from?
Tampere, Finland

3) How old are you?
Born in 1968, so that makes me, sheesh... 40!

4) What is your favorite Alan Davis work?
Really impossible to say -- I like it all, from Captain Britain to the latest Clandestine. If I really had to pick one, it would be either Alan's work with Mike Barr on Detective or his Excalibur as one work!

5) What was your first comic?
I am fairly sure it had to a Disney comic, as those are everywhere in Finland -- first one that I REMEMBER is Asterix # 2. First superhero comic was BATMAN # 201 (obviously the Finnish version of it).

6) Anything else we should know about you
Gee, I dunno -- I enjoy comics, movies, books, walking in the woods, drawing & painting -- and I get to work as a comic editor (which isn't always half as fun as it sounds). And I am engaged to a lovely comic artist lady, which is every bit as great as it sounds!

Hi! My name is James Welborn, and I own Hub Comics in Union Square, Somerville, Massachusetts, US. I am 35, and was born and reared in Henderson, Nevada, near Las Vegas.

I've been an Alan Davis fan since Excalibur and Captain Britain in the late '80s, and eventually with Miracleman and some of his more recent work.

My first comic was probably one of either: a Sgt. Rock 80-pager, GI Joe #28 or Marvel Team-Up Annual #7. I'm not sure what my first Alan Davis comic was. :)

I came here looking for some information about Alan's Marvelman/Miracleman work, but am corresponding with him via email instead for now.

I just figured that it's good manners to introduce myself.

Thanks, and nice to meet you all!

My name is Chris Noeth.

2) Where you from?
I'm from Germany.

3) How old are you?
37

4) What is your favorite Alan Davis work?
The Nail and his early Excalibur. I also like his work on Fantastic Four. I love his art... but:
I DON'T like his panel designs. I would love to see something 'classic' here because the designs are too 'much' for my taste.

5) What was your first comic?
uhhh... I think some advertising comics here in Germany. I got them as I was 2 years old from my grandfather.

6) Anything else we should know about you?
I'm the artist on new "Tales from the Crypt"stories and the four issue miniseries "Ray Harryhausen Presents: It Came From Beneath The Sea... Again!" (in work right now). More about me you can read at: http://www.chrisnoeth.com

Hi Matt and forumers,

I'm sorry I missed that thread and began posting without introducing myself here.

Paul Renaud

2) Where you from?
I'm from France.

3) How old are you?
33

4) What is your favorite Alan Davis work?
This is very hard to pick just one. But if I really had to, I'd say his second run on Excalibur (as writer/Penciller)...or ClanDestine aaarg, told you I couldn't pick just one!

5) What was your first comic?
I don't remember. Probably a Tintin album.

6) Anything else we should know about you?
Not really :)
But you can read more about me there:

2) Where you from?
Portugal

3) How old are you?
Almost turning 34

4) What is your favorite Alan Davis work?
Killraven

5) What was your first comic?
The real first one must have been some Disney, but the one that amazed me for life was a John Byrne Captain America against Baron Strucker (issue number 247)

6) Anything else we should know about you?
If my references regarding artists and stories seems not quite corresponding to my age, thats because when i start reading comics, the brazilian editions had stories that spaned from the late 60' to early 80'.

Sorry for the bad english. Nice to meet you all.

Hi there Mark, welcome aboard. I don't know where the party is, but everybody went there and we've been left alone :)
I usually come to check the forum every day, but things are really in slow motion right now.

I can see that. I'm sure this place will pick up after awhile. These forums all kinda ebb and flow.

Chris Tsuda

2) Where you from?
Originally, I'm from Sacramento, California in the USA. I'm now in San Francisco.

3) How old are you?
42

4) What is your favorite Alan Davis work?
Oh gosh, that's really hard to say. I love all of his work. The early Excalibur series is among my favorites but I think the TP that came out right before that is my favorite.

5) What was your first comic?
I honestly don't remember. I remember that my dad collected comics and I fell in love with comics myself when I discovered them. I think it was Claremont and Byrn's X-Men that I read first.

6) Anything else we should know about you?
Aspiring artist myself here. :-)

Hello, everybody!

1) My name is carlos a.s. lising;

2) I was born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. I currently reside in Painesville, Ohio, United States;

3) I am currently 40 years of age;

4) My favorite Alan Davis work was his first run on Excalibur;

5) My first comic was Fantastic Four #159 ("Havoc in the Hidden Land"). My father taught me to read using comic books; I read that issue at the tender age of five! The first comic book I actually collected, however, was Uncanny X-Men #137. After that masterpiece, I was hooked;

6) I am the creator and administrator of The Earth-009 RPG, a role-playing game based around the Marvel Universe, using the old-school Marvel Super Heroes RPG as a basis for game play. I am married and have a cat named Suzette. I am a collector of original comic art. My favorite comic characters are Shadowcat, Magik, and Phoenix (the Rachel Summers version). I would tell you more, but I'm quite sure I've now bored you all sufficiently. :)

Thanks for having me on the board!
