Alan
Have you any plans to attend the London MCM Expo later this year? It might just be the first convention type thing I would have attended in a long time.

Re: Inspirations
Alan Thanks for providing some quality scans of some of the art that inspired you when you were younger. As I have said before, Lance MacLean was very influential on me as a youngster, but it was great to see the others (especially some Frank Bellamy), but a Hampson Spider-man - really??? :D - Real ...

DR & Quinch
Always loved the humour of this series, but am disappointed that none of the reprints feature the excruciating agony page in ever loving colour. Is this a bias because it wasn't Alan Moore? Philistines!! About the series, I am curious if some of the humour in the art was stuff thown in by Alan, or i...

I must be really sad as I like nothing better than digging out the old Marvel Superheroes, moving on to The Daredevils, shooting through the Mighty World of Marvel and finishing up on the Monthly CB series. Boy just seeing the progression as an artist and storyteller is inspiring to me to say the le...

Much more "cosmic" in scale to the first series - I really enjoyed Alan's take on the New Gods (something I've been looking forward to since AD's covers for Genesis) and a lot of the supernatural stuff. The mini-series format seems to suit Alan better, much as I love his Excaliber, BATO, Detective a...

Alan I seem to remember reading somewhere that you used to work "actual size" for our British mags. Was there a marked change in working at this size to working 1.5 to twice up? As an aspiring artist myself, I still find it hard to let go of the minute details that would probably vanish when printed...

Thumbs to Pencils
On checking out some of your thumbnails and then some of your rejected pencil pages, I got to thinking - Do you purely use the thumbnails as a working ground to throw ideas out or do you actually blow them up (ala Neal Adams) to use. I am thinking the former judging by some of the layout work that i...

Alan, Are you still in regular contact with Paul Neary? And how much influence did he have on you starting out - I know his words of wisdom for me were always incredible to hear. And I can't believe he worked with Syd Jordan (he never mentioned that!!) - talking of whom, do you know if it would be p...

A Big Thank You!
Once again, may I just say thank you for posting the art on your web site. I was especially pleased at seeing the Captain Britain colour work. It looks better on my PC screen than it did when published! Can I ask if we are likely to see more of your fantastic thumbnail work. I may be speaking alone ...

Coping with the US industry
Alan
Do you still find it a chore coping with the fluctuating exchange rate with the US?
Also, do you do any work outside of comics?
And finally, when are we likely to see you being published in a UK publication again?
