supporting character Nigel

Hello Alan, I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the supporting character Nigel from Excalibur. I always kinda liked his bafoonery with Rachel and the results it got him. Then Chris Claremont got a little bizarre by making him Vixen and then you killed him. I'm going to guess that Claremo...

Alan Davis various pages

Hope I'm posting this in the right sections. I went here: http://www.comicartfans.com/SearchResult.asp and typed in Alan Davis under "Search". While I didn't see his own comicartfans page, there are a number of his pages there. Robin Riggs who posts here also has a page there with some inked pages h...

How in the world do you remember all this stuff?

Hello Mr. Davis. It seems every time someone asks you a question, you have very thorough and descriptive answers. And it's terrific and I know I appreciate it. I know a lot of my questions are asked about Excalibur and I think it's been around 10 years since that comic was first published. And yet y...

The comic shop my friends own and that I sometimes help out at had 'classic' Excalibur #1 (4 of them) in the .50 bins!!!!

I logged a formal complaint with them after scarfing the comics.

I have interest in this and would very much welcome seeing such sketches. ClanDestine is high on my list of 'favorites'.

I think it'll be interesting if Marvel decides to keep doing the 'Essentials' line of books when the current crop of today's books become older. I'm guessing not because of trade paperbacks though. But it would be quite interesting to see the original black and white work without some of today's col...

Yup, that child exoskeleton idea is quite bizarre.

Thanks for the heads up on Dick Blitz, Robin. Just wish I'd known about it before I bought all my pens. :D Well, at least I only bought the pens when I had a 40% one item coupon at my local A.C. Moore. I'm a little cheap so that's the only time I'd buy them. So after remembering, I did only pa...

I kinda like the Rapidograph pens by KOH-I-NOOR and the ink they use . The company only recommends it's own ink. It's probably my favorite ink, too. I'm going to guess that KOH-I-NOOR pens are availiable on the web if people don't have regular access to them. I usually pay about $25 U.S. dollars per...

I like the sound effects. Some of today's Adobe Illustrator sound effects look pretty weak but Alan made nice robust sound effect letters.

Oh yeah, the art is pretty good too. And I'm always glad to see the Thing in just shorts - anything else just looks weird.

cute young children harnessed in painful looking canine exoskeletons— That is truly,...bizarre. I'm going to guess in that incarnation the warwolves did not 'skin' their victims and then wear the skin? Then again, maybe they were suppose to? :!: I'd love to see the sketch if you could find it...

Thank you sir for the concern.

Strathmore paid decently so I get a decent unemployment check as I look for a new job. And I still have some money for comics to boot! :D At this time, my situation isn't all that bad.

Comic Creators on the X-Men

Hello Alan, Any chance you can give us a teaser or two about the length of your interview or anything? From a poster at Comixfan: Here's a little book X-fans may want to check out come May 2006: Comic Creators on the X-Men. A book detailing interviews with many of the most influential creators who h...

Hello Alan,

Unfortunately, I have never heard of PHOCAL board. And, unfortunately, Strathmore was sold to a new company and the new owners laid-off 9 people including me so my access to people that would know about such stuff has become fairly limited.
