More questions for Excalibur

Hello Mr. Davis! Hope you don't mind all the questions about the defunct series Excalibur. The original is my all-time favorite series. If you have any behind the scene stories, history or even just opinions for the Warwolves and the Crazy Gang I'd be grateful if you shared. I almost always enjoyed ...

Some of the Blue Line Pro paper is from Strathmore but not all of it. Also, there are different grades of paper so I'm sure that's probably part of the problem. I can remember buying some Blue Line pro paper before I started working at Strathmore and it was fiarly horrible paper. It couldn't have be...

LOL!

Thanks for the answer. No disappointment here. Chris has so many dangling plotlines I'm sure a whole set of encyclopedias would be needed to reference and clarify everything that hasn't been printed.

dangling plot lines?

Hello Mr. Davis! The following was on the Comixfan chat boards. I was wondering if you could shed any light on the subject. Thanks! DM Jim In Excalibur CC and AD hinted that Courtney/Sat-Yr-9 wanted something from Kitty – it was a power-play though and not a mother/daughter thing. She knew that Kitt...

Cream?

My local Public Broadcasting Station has been playing the reunion concert of the 60's super group Cream a lot lately. They are one of my favorite bands. Just wondering what your view of this band is (or even if you know of them! LOL)

FF question

Hello, I was just wondering if the Fantastic Four are one of your more favored characters in comics since this is your second stint with the characters? And when working on such venerable comic characters, is it tough to put a new spin on them or do you just try for a good, enjoyable story and see w...

Gah! The TBP cover looks HORRIBLE

Hopefully, it's just mine. But that green semi-gradient looks HORRIBLE!!! And the other colors are fairly blah, too. And what the heck happened to the nice shiny look of the Warwolves?!?!!? Did someone's little brother get the coloring job of the cover or what? What a travesty. Luckily the gu...

Thanks for the answer, it was exactly what I was looking for. I must admit surprise though, I would have figure Chris Claremont would have been the one making the change and the artist at the time (you, obviously) kinda being stuck with that decision. Did you get to pick her civilain outfits too? I ...

Does anybody know why Rachel's hound costume went from black to red when she was in the early Excalibur issues?

Well, I gotta admit, I much prefer talking about the creation of comics more so than actually reading them. I love to hear how creators approach a character or what may or may not work in a story. I also really enjoy hearing about what plans creators had for characters that never had a chance to hap...

First, my apologies for taking so long with the following: 2 ply plate surface: We take 2 rolls of our paper (same grade) and apply a water based paste between the sheets. It is than passed onto a cutter which cuts the sheets down to a workable size. Depending on the grade of paper say 500 we take t...

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I'll see if I can get that info for you but it's a bit beyond my expertise. When International Paper bought Strathmore, IP closed all the nearby paper mills and built a new one half way across the country and that's where we get the bulk of our paper now. But I'm fair...

There should be a The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movie coming this December or so. I'm anxiusly looking forward to it.

A comic might be kinda cool but I think most people will just grab the DVD so I'm not sure how successful the comic would be or even viable.
