Re: Thor Truth of History

Does this story involve time travel? If not, I find it interesting that they so boldly showed the Asgardians so far back. Most flashback stories involving the Asgardians on Earth or referencing Earth take place around 1000 CE. http://chronologyproject.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3089&hilit=Aesir ...

Actually, since the death of Dai Thomas' spouse was referenced as early as Captain Britain I#8, the recorded Hulk and Thor encounters that best match that took place in New York are FF I#25-26 and Avengers I#2.

Hulk I#255 seems the possible candidate.

Okay. For those wondering, the death of Dai Thomas' spouse was said to take place in New York during a battle between the Hulk and "a super-villain" in that Guardian article, while Captain Britain II#1 features a one-panel fb which seems to show the Hulk and Thor in silhouette.

Mr. Davis' summary of the story serves as a dead-on synopsis.

Ah. I had read that story in a "Greatest Story....Ever Told" anthology, but did not draw the connection to the Captain Britain story.

For other forum viewers, the story in question appeared in
“THE BATMAN NOBODY KNOWS” (BATMAN #250, July 1973).

Perhaps she used her access to time and space

Okay, I thought that the idea was that since Saturnyne had access to time and space she might occaisonally someone people from various past eras.

Psylocke question; does she still have a Mongloid Asian body

In X-Men #462, many of Psylocke's alternate Earth counterparts are also in East Pacific descended bodies (or at least have black hair-Psylocke's original body had naturally blonde hair). I find this a bit strange, as I would presume that on most alternate Earths that diverged before Acts of Vengeanc...

Dai Thomas' spouse's death; when did she die? Was it during

Dai Thomas, policeman from Captain Britain stories, sees his wife Valerie killed in a battle between the Hulk, Thor, and possibly a super-villain while in New York. Mentioned in Guardian article in Daredevils (Marvel UK)#9 (which shows an article mentioning a battle between the Hulk and "a super-vil...

Night Raven, some questions

I found the original Night Raven stories reprinted in that tpb they did around 1990-1992. I find interesting that no apparent references to any mainstream MVL characters appear in those stories, later on Alan Moore would directly reference Frederick Foswell (the Big Man), the Fantastic Four, and Spi...

What Batman issue inspired the Megga Mighty World of Marve?

In Meggan's first appearance in Mighty World of Marvel #7 , she and another woman recount rumors of Captain Britain's resistance of James Jaspers' regime. In Amazing Heroes#85, you noted that this storytelling device was inspired by a Batman issue. Which issue of Batman was that?

Excalibur I#47 question, was that supposed to be Conan that

In Excalibur I#47, Saturnyne is shown getting interruped from a dalliance due to Brian Braddock's rampage. Saturnyne gets dressed, and for at least one panel we see a scruffy, rugged looking man with unkempt black hair wearing a familiar looking medallion. Was this supposed to be Conan? I ask as the...
